100 entries, Kodak, and evolution

This is the 101st entry. Joy!

Now, the BBC News reports here that "Photography giant Eastman Kodak has announced plans to stop selling traditional film cameras in North America and Europe. The firm said it would concentrate instead on digital models."

Could this be the (real) beginning of the end for the ever popular 35mm format? Or will both (digital and film) exist in harmony?

Kodak is traditionally a conservative company and was one of the catalysts for the proliferation of photography and cameras. So, for them to make such a bold move, it must be substantial.

I know I like the convenience of a digital camera.
